Leveraging our decades of experience, SSDC utilizes several comprehensive sources of Medicare eligibility from CMS (VDSA, MMSEA Section 111 standard and optional queries, BASIS) for the entire healthcare covered population people who are

• Enrolled into Medicare, but unknown to the organization; or
• Medicare enrolled but are not being coordinated with the health plan and eligibility systems to identify as Medicare primary.
• Eligible for Medicare within the next six months

Discovery cleans up employers’ inaccurate eligibility and enrollment data the 1^st year and then maintains accuracy in subsequent years to add two to four percent to Medicare enrolled population by identifying Medicare-eligible retirees six months in advance. Discovery increases the Medicare enrolled population from five percent to about 10%, and greatly reduces rework and eases complexity for internal staff of the employer and health plan.
